After Makaela and Dylan met in college, Dylan entered into the Air Force and was stationed in Del Rio, Texas. Soon after Dylan moved down there, Makaela made one of the biggest decisions of her life to move down to Texas as well. In the same fashion, marriage soon became a topic of discussion for these two. However, with COVID, being so far away from family, and Dylan’s schedule with the Air Force, a wedding celebration just wasn’t in the cards. Because of this, Makaela and Dylan decided to get married in 2020 and then have a celebration when they could. So after being married for a year and away from family, they were able to come back to MN to celebrate with all of their loved ones for their gorgeous Trellis Stillwater wedding!

The day before their wedding, the forecast called for basically 100% rain most of the day. We usually try not to look at the forecast because things can change so much with weather. But on the morning of their wedding, it called for very little chances of rain during our portrait time. So we kept our fingers crossed for these two and they were so blessed! It stopped raining as we arrived to the venue and it only rained during the ceremony while everyone was under the tent and not a drop the rest of the day!

One of my favorite moments from their day was al of the wonderful speeches from their loved ones. Its always so fun to hear about the couple from a different perspective. The speeches were so wonderful, caring, and had some touching stories as well as some hilarious ones! Makaela & Dylan, we hope you had a blast the rest of the evening and we are so happy for you two to have been able to have a weekend with you family and friends!
