Soon after Lauren and Ben met for their first date, they knew this was something special between them. Soon enough, they both knew marriage was around the corner. So they decided to go ring shopping together and since then, Ben kept teasing Lauren about when he was going to propose! He even did a couple joke proposals. One time, he was joking at the River ampitheater in Mankato, but this time, after he joked around, he gave a really sweet speech and proposed to her! She of course said yes!

Lauren and Ben love to laugh a lot together and have lots of similar hobbies and interests. They love to spend time outside going camping and fishing. They also love to go to different museums and the renaissance fair! In fact, all of their shared interests were included in their decorations throughout their Dakota Lodge wedding!

When looking for a venue, Lauren and Ben really wanted to be able to have an outdoor ceremony with an indoor reception. When visiting The Dakota Lodge, they immediately loved it and decided to sit on a bench together to take in the venue. While admiring the view, a couple of young girls ran by and one called out to the other by name. Her name was the same name at Ben’s late daughter, and that moment solidified choosing this venue for these two.

Their outdoor ceremony was absolutely perfect and definitely represented Lauren and Ben. As Lauren walked down the aisle and Ben saw her for the first time in her wedding dress, his eyes light up and no joke, his first words were ‘holy shit’! Their ceremony this past weekend was truly special and so personalized to these two and we got to hear lots of hilarious and loving stories about how they met! It was so fun hearing their laughter during the ceremony along with all of their friends and family!

Lauren and Ben, we had such a wonderful time working with you two and are so happy for you! We hope you are having a wonderful time on your honeymoon in Glacier!
