On Christmas Eve, there had been a giant snowstorm throughout the area that started a few days prior and was continuing on like no other. Lucas had already been up for 2 straight days clearing snow to ensure the roads were safe, which allowed many families to see each other and celebrate the holiday. He came home for a bit to shower but then had to go right back to work. When his work was finally finished, he came home and Kristine was happily waiting to give him his Christmas gift. After he opened his gift, she started to get ready for them to head out to their family gathering and he asked if she wanted her gift. Thinking nothing of it and just happy to be spending the holiday together, she said sure! Kristine turned around, and there Lucas was down on one knee! He asked her to marry him and she said yes without reservation!
Kristine and Lucas originally met through friends after high school and have been together for 9 years. They both love to be outdoors hunting, fishing, and spending time on lakes. Kristine and Lucas enjoy trying new things together and also have two dogs! They love to spend time in the Sherburne National Wildlife Refuge, so it was a no brainer to do their engagement session there!
Prairie’s Edge Engagement Session
Kristine and Lucas’ Prairie’s Edge engagement session was one to remember forever! We had absolutely perfect weather with a nice breeze for their evening engagement session with beautiful golden light at the end of the night. We had a great time with some fun banter, story telling, and a whole lot of laughter! Both Kristine & Lucas are bubbly, energetic, and just a blast to be around! These two were a wonderful end to a full week of sessions with their exuberance and enthusiasm! They are the type of people you can talk with for hours and it felt like we could chat with them forever at the end of the session. Kristine & Lucas, thanks for such a wonderful Saturday night and we’re so excited for your wedding later this summer!
